The Heart of the Museum: Recent Gifts Opens on January 17 - March 11, 2012. We rely completely on the donation of objects and archival material to form our collection. All donations to the Museum collection are pieces of history’s puzzle and each piece is an addition to a story about the people, places, times and life of this region. For preservation and space reasons we have many objects that remain in storage until they are needed for an installation or special exhibition From gift wrap imprinted with the Ilwaco Rail & Navigation Company locomotive to a sled made from CRPA crates the Columbia Pacific Heritage Museum has received a wide array of gifts over the past several years. While we are not able to display all of the wonderful donations to the Museum we have selected a cross section of recent donations to highlight this special exhibition. The Columbia Pacific Heritage Museum, 115 SE Lake St, Ilwaco, WA 98624 - 360 642 3446. Tues - Sat 10am-4pm, Sunday noon-4pm. Free admission on Thursdays sponsored by the Port of Ilwaco.
